Bushtit

This is the Interior version of the male Bushtit as opposed to the Pacific Slope version.  The females of this bird are the boasters of color with a bright yellow eye.  These birds are very small and very fast.  I photographed this bird in the Salish Pond area in Fairview, Oregon, on July 28, 2010.  The shot was made with a Canon 40D, 1/800, f6.3, Canon 400mm f5.6L lens.
