Common Yellowthroat

Common Yellowthroat

This handsome fellow perched on this metal contraption that, apparently, was placed there by refuge personnel at some point.  I’ve never been able to figure out what the circular bowl-shaped wire object is but the bird landed on it here in nice light for me.  Taken with a Canon 40D, 1/1600, f7.1, 400mm, ISO400, Canon 100-400mm lens, at the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge.
