Evening Ridgefield Flyer

This is a May 6, 2016, shot of a female Mallard at the Ridgefield NWR just before sunset.  As of May 1, refuge rules allow visitors to exit their vehicles.  I stood next to my truck in front of a marsh at sunset and waited for the ducks to fly.  Flight shooting is one of the few scenarios where exiting your vehicle is advantageous at Ridgefield.
