Lightning fast take off

Lightning fast take off

A sudden take off by this Hooded Merganser–I just hit the shutter and hoped. ┬áRidgefield NWR, March 23, 2016. ┬áI had shutter speed set at only 1/500 as it was quite dark–another reason I initially thought I’d missed this altogether.

LARGEVIEW!

Canon 5D Mark III, 1/500, f4, ISO 1000, 500mm, 11:47 a.m.
