The baby owls have been out of the nest now for a couple of weeks but this is my first chance at getting up to the Ridgefield NWR since my last visit on May 2. The image is of one of two owlets that have been seen along the auto tour route. This little guy/gal was perched at near camera level. The first 6 months to a year for these youngsters is always a high risk situation. Here’s wishing the best for this little one and its sibling. Taken May 21, 2018.
