One of 250 frames I took, over a two-minute span, of this encounter between a Great Egret and a vole, Nov. 20, 2015, at the Ridgefield NWR. This frame was about halfway through the sequence. It was very nice (photographically speaking) of the egret to stay in this exact profile position through the consumption phase.
