Dec. 11, 2017, Ridgefield NWR – An American Kestrel promotes a refuge sign (among others) that far too many visitors ignore. Exiting your vehicle on the refuge auto tour (at other than designated rest stop areas) not only ruins other visitors’ chances of seeing wildlife but is detrimental to the welfare of wildlife during the colder time of the year. Exiting vehicles is permitted May through September. Thanks to all who follow this simple rule!
