“Stop pickin’ on me!”

“Stop pickin’ on me!”

One of my favorite Bald Eagle encounters happened Dec. 29, 2014, at the Ridgefield NWR.  This series was capsulized in a blog post I did called, Bald Eagle Behavioral Series, posted Jan. 7, 2015. Please take a look if you haven’t already seen it.  The above image is one in the series that I had not previously published and it depicts the younger eagle getting up from the ground when only 2 seconds earlier one of the mature birds had flown in and knocked it on its back (while in flight).  The youngster is not very happy about it.
