Immature Black-headed Grosbeak (female)

Immature Black-headed Grosbeak (female)

A few days ago I posted an immature male Black-headed Grosbeak.  Here’s what I think is the sibling of the male, this one a female.  She was on the road and let me step out of the truck to get this shot.  This is the western counterpart to the Rose-breasted Grosbeak, which is found in eastern North America.
