Here’s the female Mountain Bluebird from my trip to the east side of Mt. Hood on July 7, 2014. In contrast to the male, the female’s blue color is almost all limited to its wings. It was a very fun trip if you don’t count the swarms of flies that tried to eat me alive! My bug shirt saved the day. Canon 5D Mark III, 1/1600, f5.6, ISO 400, 700mm.
