Curious Coyote

Curious Coyote

This coyote, and a companion coyote, ran across the road up ahead of me while I was driving the auto tour of the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge.  By the time I reached the point of crossing, both coyotes had run into the field off to my left.  To get their attention, I swallowed my pride and made a barking sound from the driver’s window of my truck.  One of the coyotes responded by stopping and looking back at me.  I snapped the shot with my camera on a bean bag from my truck.  1/640, f5.6, 400mm, ISO400, +2/3EV, EOS 40D, 400mm f5.6L lens.
