A July 14, 2015, shot of a Greater Yellowlegs at the Ridgefield NWR. The low water levels in many of the areas of the refuge this time of year attract shorebirds such as sandpipers, Killdeer, snipes, and yellowlegs. Last year in September, the refuge attracted even a lone immature White-faced Ibis–to my knowledge, a first.
