Short-eared Owl at Dusk

Here’s another image from my Jan. 15, 2016, visit to the Ridgefield NWR.  This Short-eared Owl paid the refuge a visit near dusk.  I like that the bird is at camera level as I shot from my vehicle.  It’s really a treat to see these owls at Ridgefield, and this bird gave me hundreds of shots.  I don’t believe I’ve seen a Short-eared Owl since.
