While driving the Ridgefield NWR auto tour route, April 4, 2017, I spotted this Wilson’s Snipe fly across the road in front of me and land on a mossy log near water’s edge. The bird then began loudly calling out. This set of circumstances doesn’t happen often for me, but when it does, I take the bird’s picture! 🙂 The background is brightly lit water.
