Canada Goose over Ridgefield NWR

Canada Goose over Ridgefield NWR

The Canada Goose is sometimes confused with the Cackling Goose, which is somewhat smaller.  In flight you can tell the difference by the length of the stretched out neck.  The Cackler’s neck is about one-half the length of the Canada Goose’s neck.   Photo captured Nov. 26, 2012, with a Canon 5D Mark III, 1/1250, f5.6, ISO800, Canon 400mm f5.6L lens.
