My one and only sighting of a juvenile Black-crowned Night Heron taken at the Ridgefield NWR in Oct. 2009. Camera used was a Canon 40D, 1/1000, f8, ISO400, 400mm, Canon EF 100-400L lens. The bird not only let me back my truck up near him, but let me get out of the truck and take some shots.
