Hovering in Summer

Hovering in Summer

Here’s another shot of an airborne bird taken on my Aug. 7, 2017, visit to the Ridgefield NWR.  This American Kestrel is hovering over the newly mown fields of the refuge in early evening sun looking for just about anything that moves.
