Spring in black, red, and green

On April 4, 2017, I was driving slowly through the Ash tree forest of the Ridgefield NWR and observed this Spotted Towhee foraging on the ground.  I kept my eye on him as he jumped up on this perch, giving the shot a nice Spring-like ambience.
