There’s one stretch of road at the Ridgfield National Wildlife Refuge where this Yellow-headed Blackbird has decided to call home. The bird rarely leaves the cattails on the right side of the road making the bird a dream to photograph from one’s vehicle. In this shot, the background wasn’t the most desirable but the bird gave me an awesome display of its feathers from head to tail. Taken with a Canon 7D, 1/250, f5.6, ISO800, Canon 400mm f5.6L lens, with flash fill.
