This is a picture of the same Red-tailed Hawk I posted on August 15, titled, “I got one, I got one!” The above was captured 3 seconds later when the young hawk brings its catch back to the bale of hay from which it spotted the mouse earlier. The bird proceeded to consume its catch at this point. Canon 5D Mark III, 1/1600, f4, ISO 800, 500mm.
