This Wood Duck was calling out continually for quite a while at the Ridgefield NWR, May 20, 2013. This is arguably the most colorful duck we have in this region of the country. Icing on the cake was that he was out of water, on a moss covered perch, and with a decent background. Canon 5D Mark III, 1/1000, f8, ISO 3200, Canon 400mm f5.6L lens + 1.4x III extender = 560mm.
