As a prize for one of my photos being recognized in a local photo contest, I was given access to the Dairy Unit of the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge for a day. A short drive back into the unit stands a tower built for Ospeys to nest on. This is a shot of a parent bringing food to its young on a bright overcast day. Note that the bird has already disposed of the fish’s head. Taken with a Canon 40D, 1/1600, f7.1, 340mm, ISO400, +2EV, Canon 100-400mmL lens.
