This is a shot I got while walking the main trail at Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge in August, 2010. I recall the day being somewhat disappointing due to low bird activity. As I was heading back to the parking lot on the trail, this beauty landed on a very small (bare) tree about 25 feet off the trail to my left. I used a monopod with my Canon 40D, 1/250, f6.3, ISO400, 400mm, Canon 400mm f5.6L lens, flash fired.
