I spotted this American Coot in what at first looked like a tussle with another coot. After a few seconds I realized it was just a single bird rolling around in the water, most of the time with its neck stretched all the way on its back. It was in this position at the same time it was rotating in the water. If it was taking a bath, it sure had an acrobatic way of doing it. Maybe a mating dance? I wished I had gotten the behavior on video.
