This Northern Harrier had landed on the road in front of me at the site of a previous predator’s kill and was picking around for any leftovers. When it took off it flew back toward my vehicle and passed my truck window. This is the type of opportunity that photographers hope for as we drive the auto route of the Ridgefield NWR. This was taken Jan. 14, 2015.
