Falcon at Rest

Here’s a lovely male American Kestrel taking it easy on one foot as I’m shooting from across the creek and aiming up fairly high.  These birds are especially fun to capture when they are on a natural perch as opposed to a sign or post.

7D Mark II, 1/1250, f5.6, ISO 640, 700mm (500+1.4x), 1:40 p.m.
