Flight of the Red-shouldered Hawk

This is my first ever flight shot of a Red-shouldered Hawk.  Taken Dec. 29, 2014, at the Ridgefield NWR.  The bird has been working a good portion of the Ash tree forest at the refuge and has been a popular attraction for photographers.

Canon 7D Mark II, 1/1600, f4, ISO 800, 500mm, 10:48 a.m.

    1. Thanks, Tony! I wasn’t real pleased with the bush in the background but I did remove some branches ahead of the bird that were even more distracting. The eye contact may be the best attribute of the image.
