I was fortunate to come across a straight on, unobstructed, view of the momma Great Horned Owl at Ridgefield NWR, on June 30, 2014. She was looking great for this 6:30 a.m. shot. Right afterwards, she flew almost directly over me. Canon 5D Mark III, 1/160, f4, ISO 2000, 500mm.
