A very nice day weather-wise at the Ridgefield NWR, March 10, 2017. Most eagles wouldn’t come close but there was a mature and immature Bald Eagle hanging out in the Ash tree forest. Here, the mature bird brought its catch to one of the Ash trees and was finishing it off. Most of my sightings of the eagles in these woods today were obscured by branches so I was happy to get this shot from about 50 feet.
