I made a Dec. 19, 2015, visit to the Ridgefield NWR, and had a rain-free experience!  The sun actually peeked through the clouds some today.  This Northern Harrier was perched on a post and allowed me to drive within about 45 feet of it.  One of my closer encounters with a perched harrier.
