A Northern Harrier hen perched on one of the many Ridgefield NWR’s signs asking visitors to stay in their vehicles as they drive the 4 mile auto tour route. For the vast majority of shots it is best to stay inside the car/truck even in the summer when the restriction is lifted. Getting closer is just easier. Here I wanted to showcase not only the bird but also the creative sign. Lots of cool birds in the car!
