Feb. 19, 2019 – Ridgefield NWR. This immature Bald Eagle was perched on this old post for well over an hour. My hope was that the bird would decide to fly toward me. After 10 minutes, it flew down to the base of the diagonal board and proceeded to take a bath. Unfortunately, most of the bath time was spent with its back toward me but it did glance my way a few times.
