To Catch a Coot

My second favorite spotting of the day on Jan. 15, 2016 (my first fav was the Short-eared Owl), at Ridgefield, was this immature Bald Eagle devouring a coot it had caught before I arrived.  Almost full frame from about 45 feet, be sure to view large and click on the photo to zoom in.  It was hard to pick one of the frames from so many hundreds I snapped.

VIEW LARGE for best viewing experience!

Canon 5D Mark III, 1/1250, f4, ISO 1000, 500mm, 12:47 p.m.
