Kicking off the month of July (7/1/2016) at the Ridgefield NWR with an appearance by the Gray Ghost—the male Northern Harrier. I was talking with my brother in our cars near marker #12 and we suddenly spotted this fellow hovering out in the field. I jumped out of my vehicle and began shooting as the bird flew behind our vehicles. (Visitors are allowed out of their vehicles during summer months on the auto tour route).
