It’s an interesting time of the year at the Ridgefield NWR. Large raptors are very rarely seen except for the occasional harrier. So I primarily turned to the smaller of the birds which can take a little more patience and time. My last loop of the auto tour route before leaving for the day netted me this singing Common Yellowthroat on a diagonal thorn perch with a clear background. A very nice way to end the shoot for the day.
