My trip today (Aug. 11, 2015), to the Ridgefield NWR, netted me 4 or 5 shots of immature small birds. I also found this female Common Yellowthroat, which appears to be staying around to show its offspring the ropes. I believe I got a shot of the younger Yellowthroat as well, and will post it soon. The female is much less striking as far as coloring goes but is still quite pretty.
