A few days ago I posted an immature male Black-headed Grosbeak. Here’s what I think is the sibling of the male, this one a female. She was on the road and let me step out of the truck to get this shot. This is the western counterpart to the Rose-breasted Grosbeak, which is found in eastern North America.
