I spotted this young Coyote at the Ridgefield NWR on Sep. 11, 2011. He gave me only a few seconds to shoot before he trotted off and joined two other youngsters off in the distance. Taken with a Canon 7D, 1/640, f5.6, ISO800, Canon 400mm f5.6L lens.

So cute and I love the lighting! Can’t wait for the River S to open again…
That’s for sure, Jen! I’m going stir crazy! As an alternative, I went over to the Tualatin refuge on the 19th and was so disappointed with what I was able to see and catch. I’m not saying Tualatin is a bad place–it is actually very beautiful–but I really hit a slow day for wildlife. Thanks for the nice comment!
