A shot from November 2012, at the Ridgefield NWR, not long before the ‘powers that be’ hunted down most of the coyotes on the refuge to make way for the Columbian White-tailed Deer translocation. To this day it is rare to see a coyote on the refuge but the deer are doing fine.
