This coyote had just pounced on something a minute before I took this shot at the Ridgefield NWR, March 30, 2018.  I missed the pounce at the side of the road because I didn’t have my truck positioned in time.  This animal was looking pretty healthy compared to the one I saw a couple of weeks ago.
