The photo was taken at the Ridgefield NWR on Jan. 11, 2012. The bird had just taken flight after pouncing on the mouse.
UPDATE 10/15/2012: I received word today that my photo of the Harrier won the Wildlife competition in the Oregon Wild 2012 Photo Contest! I want to thank everyone who supported me and took the time to vote for my shot! I really appreciate it!
