Peregrine Falcon video #1

Posted in

This beautiful Peregrine Falcon has been hanging around the Ridgefield NWR for several months and seems to call the refuge ‘home.’ Usually perched at far distances, the bird has recently been spotted on a perch just off the auto tour road–well within the reach of a 400mm lens. While taking still shots of the bird, I decided to take a video on Oct. 13, 2011. Some of my still shots are included in the Bird Gallery under Raptors. [Please excuse the unsteady video!]
