This is a 38 second video of the juvie White-faced Ibis that visited the Ridgefield NWR in early fall. If you viewed my prior still shots of this bird in my galleries, you may recall me mentioning the jack-hammering movement the bird engages in with its head as it walks around the shoreline. Some shorebirds make their appearance in this video, too. Also, watch the bird take flight near the end of the video when something spooks it. The bird didn’t fly away–it just circled for a few seconds and landed right back in the same area. The video looks best in full screen and 1080p HD. Thanks for viewing!
