This is a Feb. 22, 2020, shot of a Scaup, but I’m not sure if it’s a greater or lesser. My guess is that it is the lesser variety which is much more prevalent in North America than the greater. These 2 species can be very difficult to tell apart. Taken at the Ridgefield NWR.
