During my Aug. 11, 2015, trip to Ridgefield, I spent some time watching this Great Egret hunt in some shallow water. I tried to get some action shots of the bird plunging its bill into the water. This is one I liked. The bird came up with a few small minnows and such at times but nothing exciting.
