Here’s the 4th image in my young bird series, all taken Aug. 11, 2015, at Ridgefield, Wa. The bill says sparrow and the crested-crown makes me think Lincoln’s Sparrow, which is supported by the beginnings of the streak behind the eye and also on the cheek, as well as a nice eye ring. The bird is a female immature Lincoln’s Sparrow, although I’m less sure about its gender. [Guessing female due to the light overall color]. I’ve never seen a Lincoln’s Sparrow, adult or otherwise, at the specific location where I shot this, but that means little. Please let me know if I missed the boat on this ID!
