This is the same female American Kestrel I posted an image of in which she was perched on a cattail (11/9/15). As mentioned in the commentary on that shot, I followed the bird about a half mile (slowly in my truck) as it flew from natural perch to natural perch. Not letting me get very close, this is the beautiful lady on teasel–taken 6 minutes after the other shot, on Nov. 9, 2015. Ridgefield NWR.
