The 7th and final image of this New Year’s Bald Eagle behavioral series appears above. After the scolding by Dad, Mom flies over and encourages Junior to get out there and try again to catch a meal. After Junior left the scene, both mature birds then flew about 500 yards north to a large tree right by the road I was on. One of the eagles remained there long enough for me to drive to the tree and take some close up shots. I’ll post one of these in the near future.
