It was a fantastic weather day at the Ridgefield NWR, today, Nov. 20, 2015. And I couldn’t believe that in the first three minutes of beginning the auto tour route, I had seen five Bald Eagles in the air. An hour later, I saw the same five birds again in a different spot. I don’t think I’ve seen this many eagles at the refuge in one day.
Today’s image is of a very young Bald Eagle, which I found perched at the top of a tall tree. After a few minutes of waiting, the bird flew and I caught this pose.
