It’s fun and challenging to shoot flight images of Northern Harriers as they execute amazingly fast turns and dives in mid air. On my Sep. 16, 2014, shoot at the Ridgefield NWR, I was fortunate to capture this raptor at the top of her dive, while she was not very far off the ground. This put my camera on nearly the same plane as the bird, which is the preferred point of view in many situations. I hope you like the shot!
